The Development of ZipRescue

Eric Cylvick patrolled at Park City Mountain Resort for 14 years during which time he was the Lift Evacuation Coordinator and Snow Safety Director. During his employment at Park City Mountain Resort Eric was involved in the evacuation of a fully loaded CTEC/ Doppelmayer detachable six person chair in less than 1 hour and 48 minutes. Eric’s extensive climbing, evacuation experience and inventing skills enabled him to design and develop the most advanced lift rescue system available.

ZipResce

The few existing lift rescue systems on the market today are either heavy, large or cumbersome to operate, making it difficult to transport and mount the equipment. There was a definite need for a light, compact unit that did not over burden the rescuer climbing the tower, nor intimidate the rescuer when mounting the cable. ZipRescue LLC was formed in order to develop a product that could be used to evacuate chair lifts, gondolas and trams. By modifying the successful ZipRider product, ZipRescue LLC has been able to develop a product that is the lightest and safest rescue transportation product on the market today.

In combination with developing the ZipRescue, ZipRescue LLC has also developed efficient and safe rescue techniques to be used in conjunction with the ZipRescue device. ZipRescue LLC is able to provide onsite training with a purchase of ZipRescue units, and can demonstrate these techniques to your patrol or rescue crew if so desired. Now a Petzl distributor, ZipRescue LLC can recommend and supply the best equipment to outfit your patrol or rescue crew.
